How it works

Common file size limits
Many online forms and services set image limits around 100 KB, 200 KB, 500 KB, or 1 MB. Select a preset or enter your own limit up to 50 MB.
Supported image formats
SimpleFileFix accepts JPEG (JPG), PNG, and WebP images up to 50 MB. JPEG and WebP can be compressed with adjustable quality. PNG stays PNG unless you choose the optional WebP conversion; transparency is preserved.

Image processing runs on your device in your browser. SimpleFileFix does not upload or store the image file.

How do I compress an image to 200 KB?
Choose an image, select the 200 KB preset, then compress. SimpleFileFix adjusts image quality first and resizes only when needed.
Will SimpleFileFix upload my image?
No. The image is decoded and compressed locally in your browser. The file itself is never sent to SimpleFileFix.
Does compressing reduce image quality?
Lossy formats such as JPEG and WebP can lose some detail as they get smaller. SimpleFileFix searches for the highest encoded quality that stays under your target.
Why did my image dimensions change?
Dimensions are reduced only when quality adjustment alone cannot meet the target. Choose Keep original dimensions to avoid resizing.
Can I keep the original image dimensions?
Yes. Select Keep original dimensions. Some small targets may not be achievable in that mode.
